LCHS Picnic, 6/24/12

Lake County Historical Society
Annual Picnic June 24, 2012
Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum
Our annual picnic was a huge success with great weather conditions.

Phil Smoley asked for nominations for Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. Bonnie Skee nominated Florence Peck for Treasurer and Sheralyn Riewerts for Assistant Treasurer. Hearing no other nominations from the floor, the motion was seconded and unanimously approved.

John Parker led a great skit about the Cole Creek Gang; Lake County bandits who were busy robbing the stages on a regular basis. The cast included himself, Bent Nose John Parker, Big Gun Greg Blinn, Gangly Greg Dills, Rebel Phil Smoley and Rattlesnake Randy Ridgel. They represented the real gangs of Lake County robbers, Buck English and Charles Boles, also known as Black Bart.

It was a great day with plenty of food for all.

Respectfully submitted,

Bonnie Skee

Valerie Onellion nominated John Parker to be our Second Vice President which he accepted. Patricia seconded and the motion carried.
