The History of Hoberg’s Resort

  • Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum 9921 Soda Bay Road Kelseyville, CA, 95451 United States (map)

Archaeologist Dr. John Parker will dig into the history of this “all-inclusive” resort developed and run by the Gustov Hoberg family from 1890 through the 1970’s. Following the 2018 Valley Fire, a time capsule of cultural material was discovered, excavated, and is still being cataloged into the Historical Society’s collections. All lectures are free to Historical Society Members and $10/each for non-members. A pass for all 6 annual lectures can be obtained for $40. Purchase a membership or individual lecture pass at the door, or buy one at the Museum any weekend or at the monthly Fiddler’s Jam. We’ll provide the popcorn! We hope to see you there!
