1890 Kelseyville Jail

Built by Kelseyville carpenters Del Reeder and William Kelsey, this structure was located behind the Kelseyville Courthouse while in use. It’s first occupant was Will Miller, who was arrested and jailed for disturbing the peace in Kelseyville.

In 1900 this jail was added to the county court system and used as a holding cell for the Lakeport Jail.

Though exterior siding has been replaced, all metal hardware is the original hand forged metal.
